Despite having most of the possession and numerous attempts on goal, including a shot from Hannah Glenn that hit the post, Belper only managed to score a single goal in the first half.
This came from the sheer determination of Ellen Horner who managed to put a rebound from the goalie into the net.
Belper continued to dominate in the second half and it was a pleasure to watch the back three Laura Harris, Alex Smith and Victoria Rogers moving the ball confidently around at the back. However despite lots of positive play Belper failed to increase the goal difference.
Still a well deserved and long awaited second win for the team. Thanks to Ruth Lane who gave up playing to umpire the game.
