Huge congratulations to the Belper LHC U16 Girls who have qualified for the NATIONAL FINALS in London on the weekend of 28/29th March. It was great to see Hollie Webb back down at Belper this morning for a spot of mini hoc coaching! The children really enjoyed the session and seeing her medal! She is not only a GB and England Hockey player who first started playing hockey at Belper Mini Hockey but she has won both European Silver and Commonwealth Games Silver medals and is currently training for Rio 2016. It is with great sadness that we learned that Sue Hourd has passed away. Sue had been ill for the last twelve months, bravely battling cancer. Sadly, Sue lost her battle and passed away on Sunday 4th of January. Sue and Dave, like many of us, met through hockey. They were great stalwarts of the club in the 1980s and ’90s.
