Pre‐Season Newsletter 2012/13 

We hope you are all well and despite the weather enjoying the summer so far. The undoubted highlight for next season is the new Astroturf carpet on the pitch which is being laid at the moment and will be in operation for next season. This is a significant investment by the Sports Club and its Hockey section in securing our future and ensuring that players can play and train on what will be the best playing surface in the County.

England Masters O40's Home Nations, 8-10th June 2012, Peffermill, Edinburgh
Won 5-0 v Wales (Apted 3, Penny, Cunliffe)
Won 4-1 v Ireland (1-0 down at half-time) (Apted 2, Morris, Wood)
Won 5-4 v Scotland (3-0 down after 15 mins!) (Morris 4, Rogers)
An eventful weekend... with much to work on over the next few training games and sessions before the World cup in August. Lost a couple of players through injury and made hard work of it, but managed to retain the Home Nations again.
