It was a great start to the season for the Ladies 4’s with a 5-1 win against Woodlands. woodlands scored first against the run of play, but Belper soon equalised with a goal from Daisy. Belper continued to dominate the game with further goals from Lizzie, Daisy, Kitty and Rachel. it was a great team effort!
The first HOCKEY CLUB SOCIAL EVENING of the season will be held on Saturday 30th September, 6.30pm for 7pm start, in the Clubhouse and will showcase the new NAILERS BAR. There will be two keg beers on tap…..and all the other usual offerings, plus entertainment and food….. Get your quiz team together…….and wear something silly on your head for extra point!!!! Alex Wilbraham will be holding a training session for anyone (18+) who wants to be able to serve alcohol in the Clubhouse. This will take place on Wed 20th Sept, at 5.45pm, in the clubhouse and via Zoom. It will take about 30mins. Anyone who needs/wants to update their training should also attend. Belper U14 Boys continued their amazing journey at the National Finals of the U14 Supra League on Sunday 14th May at Notts Hockey Centre. A day of highs and lows for the Belper boys at the Supra League Final tournament. Belper u14 Boys National Champions after winning the England Hockey Junior Club Championships 2023. Belper U14 boys met Wimbledon on Sunday 23rd April in the final of the England Hockey Tier 1 Cup, at the Nottingham Hockey Centre. As hockey matches go, the final had all the expected excitement and drama, with Belper being rewarded for their tenacity when Wilkins fired home a well-worked penalty corner after just 8 minutes giving Belper an early lead.
