Following a Sports Action Grant from Derbyshire County Council Belper Junior Girls launched the Academy in September 2012 with the aim of helping the girls to achieve their full potential and increase the numbers getting through to county and beyond.
The grant enabled us to secure the services of former South Africa international player Wayne Madsen and the results speak for themselves.
Congratulations go to Emily Bailey, Sarah Glenn, Kate Murfin, Helena Skinner, Niamh Cahill, Charlotte Gale, Nicola Hartley, Hannah Lighbody, Niamh Vallack and Elspeth Varley who have all been selected to attend the Regional Performance Centre. In addition, Hannah Davey and Lucie Gale have been invited to attend Midlands Eilte Coaching sessions for promising U13s.
