WORLD CHAMPIONS TO PLAY BELPER
The current World Masters Hockey Champions England will be at Belper HC on Sunday the 19th January for a training camp as part of their warm up for the 2014 World Cup in Rotterdam.
In 2012 England beat Australia 3-1 to claim the World Crown and Belper were represented in that winning squad by our current National league player Nick Morris.
As part of the camp they will also be playing the Belper National League squad in a warm up game at 3pm.
“This is a great opportunity for not just our club, but all teams from the surrounding area to come along and see what promises to be a very high quality match. I know that the guys will be well up for the game and will push the Champs all the way”
“We hope to see a big crowd down at the meadows to support Belper & England and also to get a glimpse of just what it takes to become world champions at this level.”
