Jo had strong links with Belper Hockey Club, both as a supporter of her daughters, Rhiannon and Victoria and a long term volunteer. Jo was treasurer for Belper Ladies Hockey Club for many years, she volunteered on Sunday mornings as a mini hockey coach and also managed a junior girls’ team. Both coach and manager roles involved Jo spending countless hours at Belper Meadows, organising, encouraging and looking after many children playing hockey as well as liaising with all their parents. Even Jo’s car acted as a team bus on many occasions, travelling thousands of miles, all across the country! All of these roles Jo took on with passion and enthusiasm, enjoying them all thoroughly.

Over 250 people attended Jo’s funeral on the 19th February, many with links to Belper Hockey Club to show their appreciation for the significant and valuable contribution Jo made to the club. Mark, Jonathan, Rhiannon and Victoria would like to thank all at Belper Hockey Club for their support to Jo during her illness and to the rest of the family at this difficult time.

Rhiannon is running the London Marathon on Sunday 24th April, in support of Pancreatic Cancer UK, and in memory of her mum. Donations would be gratefully appreciated via http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Rhiannon.Rogers-Pancreatic.Cancer.uk. Thanks very much!
