We will be holding an Introduction to Umpiring Course in the Clubhouse, 6-9pm on Thursday 23rd June.

Introduction to Umpiring Course

Details of the course are as follows:

Date:              Thursday 23rd June 2016

Time:              6pm-9pm

Venue:          Belper Meadows Sports Club, Christchurch Meadows, Bridge Street, Belper, DE56 1BA

Course Information

This new training course is for people with little or no umpiring experience who will be umpiring the 11-a-side game.

  1. The course is designed with Juniors in mind but all ages are welcome The minimum age requirement is 12 years. (The minimum age requirement for the L1 umpire course is 14yrs)

  3. Candidates must book and pay (£25) online. Payment must be made at the time of booking. Details below.
  4. t

  5. Participants must complete an online Rules test before attending the course, and will receive a Certificate of Attendance, not a qualification. Completion of the Introduction to Umpiring course will not enable (or equip) you to umpire League hockey.

  7. The course is delivered by an England Hockey accredited tutor.
  8. t

  9. The course contains practical pitch activity.  Please bring a hockey stick, shin pads, appropriate training clothing and footwear appropriate for astro.
  10. t

  11. If you will be U18 on the day of the course, you must bring to the course a completed Parental Consent Form.

The deadline is Monday 13th June or until full. Places are first come first served and only secure when booked and paid for online.

Please be advised bookings must be made in the name of the participant – bookings cannot be made on behalf of someone else. Guidance for those having trouble with the booking process is available at the link above.
