Course Information
This new training course is for people with little or no umpiring experience who will be umpiring the 11-a-side game.

- The course is designed with Juniors in mind but all ages are welcome The minimum age requirement is 12 years. (The minimum age requirement for the L1 umpire course is 14yrs)
- Candidates must book and pay (£25) online. Payment must be made at the time of booking. Details below.
- Participants must complete an online Rules test before attending the course, and will receive a Certificate of Attendance, not a qualification. Completion of the Introduction to Umpiring course will not enable (or equip) you to umpire League hockey.
- The course is delivered by an England Hockey accredited tutor.
- The course contains practical pitch activity. Please bring a hockey stick, shin pads, appropriate training clothing and footwear appropriate for astro.
- If you will be U18 on the day of the course, you must bring to the course a completed Parental Consent Form.
