Dear member,
Hope you and your family are keeping well during these challenging times.
You will no doubt have seen in the news that other sports such as golf and tennis are being advised by their Governing Body that they can return although they have stringent guidelines and are not allowed to use their clubhouses.
Rest assured we are as keen as you to re-open our facilities for use however at the present time the pitch and clubhouse remain closed for obvious reasons.
We are working with the other sections so that if lockdown measures are further released we have a system in place for families and members to safely enjoy the facilities. It will no doubt involve the pitch being pre-booked so that families/players don’t all turn up at the same time!
We anticipate that England Hockey will be making a statement in the near future however we do not imagine we will be returning to our sport any time soon.
We will keep you fully updated but as you would imagine it is a balancing act to allow members to re-start the sport they love whilst doing everything we can to continue to protect them and all our NHS staff and key workers.
