Close to 90 people got together on Saturday 2nd July for a fun day of hockey. Sadly we only had one outside team, but Belper Hockey put out 8 teams with players from 14 years old upwards from all stratas. In particular it is great to see so many strong Junior Girls leading the way. A great time was had by all. The winning team is depicted here.
Many thanks to Richard Irish for organising with Jenny mopping his fevered brow. Kirstie Spencer and Jolene were stars in keeping things going with Peter Johnston getting stuck in. The new BBQ (funded by Mixed Social Hockey) was put to work with sausages and burgers from Richard Taylor being enjoyed by many. Good takings at the bar as well. A brilliant social event that we should repeat.
