Belper Men’s Hockey Section

Founded in 1908, our club has been at the heart of men’s hockey for generations in Belper, offering opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.

We currently run seven adult teams, ensuring there’s a place for everyone — from those taking their first steps in competitive hockey to players pushing themselves at the highest levels. Our Men’s 1st XI proudly competes in the Midlands Premier League, with our other teams playing across varying levels within the Midlands Leagues.

Hockey is truly a sport for life, and our veterans prove that week after week. Many take part in the England Hockey Masters Cup competitions, and we’re especially proud of our members who represent the club on the national stage in the O40s, O45s, O50s, O60s and even O80s age groups.

Our Junior Boys section is thriving too, with teams at U14, U16, and U18 level. We’re passionate about helping young players develop their skills, make friends, and most importantly, enjoy the game.

Whether you’re a seasoned player, a beginner, or a parent looking to get your child involved, you’ll find a warm and friendly welcome at our club. Come and be part of our hockey family.

Belper Ladies Hockey Section

Belper Ladies Hockey Club was established in 1920 offering hockey for Ladies and Junior Girls. 

It has grown into one of the most successful clubs in the Midlands. We have built on a number of successful seasons and now run 6 adult teams, playing at all levels within the Midlands leagues. We also run U14, U16 and U18 Junior Girls teams.

We also offer summer hockey for a range of levels including Summer League matches. We are very proud that we have members of the Club currently playing representative hockey at National level.

Our Mini Hockey section caters for U8s (Little Stars), U10s and U12s, both boys and girls.

We offer weekly Social Mixed Hockey sessions at the Club during the summer and throughout the season we run Back2Hockey sessions aimed at players who may not have picked up a stick for a few years, or looking to play for the first time, and ‘SNAILERS’ afternoon hockey is aimed at keeping our more senior members playing. These sessions are open to anyone wishing to come and have a go on a pay-as-you-play basis.
