Hard work and determination have paid off for Belper HC girls Sarah Glenn and Hannah Davey who have both been selected for England Hockey’s U16 Girls Squad. With only 26 places available both girls had their work cut out to secure one.
Sarah has been selected to represent England in the playing squad for the first games – a tour of Holland which runs from the 2nd – 6th April.
There are more games and tournaments throughout the summer so hopefully there will be plenty of opportunity for the girls to represent their country.
Both girls have been part of this season’s successful U16 Belper squad which reached the national finals of their age group competition.
Several other Belper juniors from both the boys and girls sections have reached the National Age Group Academy – just one step away from the EH age group squads.
