Active Amber Valley Sports Awards
‘Team of the Year’ was won by Belper Hockey Club Ladies 1st Team who won the Midlands Premier Division title last season!
‘Young Sportswoman of the Year’ was won by dual-sport athlete Sarah Glenn who has represented England youth teams in both Hockey & Cricket. Locally Sarah plays for Belper Hockey Club & Denby Cricket Club.
‘Sportswoman of the Year’ was won by Hollie Webb who was part of the England Women’s Hockey Team who won the European Championships this year at the London Olympic Park.
Hollie now plays for Surbiton Hockey Club in the Women’s National Premier League having previously played for Belper Hockey Club in her youth.
Hollie was unable to be at the awards last night as she is busy preparing for the Rio 2016 Olympics among many other things and we wish her all the best for next year and beyond.
