Another early start with a 09:00 PB for the Belper ladies 4’s, playing against Belper Ladies 5’s.
The sun was out, there was everything to play for in our inter club match.
The 5’s came out, all guns blazing, within 10 minutes the 4’s had a flurry of short corners, but were denied by great defending and saves from Sally. Eventually Charlie scored off a cross from Rachel.
20 minutes later Grace scored rom a SC.
The score at half time 2-0 .
The 2nd half found us in the D again, with 2 great saves from Sally. 3 minutes in, Rose scored a goal.
5’s came back, followed by a counter attack from the 4’s, and a goal from Rachel.
The 5’s made a break, forcing Izzy to come out of goal. After 16 mins, Rose scored from a deflection.
The 5’s had a SC, slipped to Pippa, with a cracking shot, resulting in a goal.
Rachel scored again at 33 minutes, and with 2 minutes to go, Rachel crossed to Wendy who took a shot, resulting in the final goal.
End result 7-1 to the 4’s. The game was played in great spirit, both teams, well done to all.
