The ladies 4’s 3rd game of the season was away at Ashby. We were keen to keep up our winning streak!
After 3 minutes Suzy took a straight strike at the top of the D, taking the opposition by surprise, but also surprising herself and the team when the ball went in – Belper were off.
Daisy increased Belper’s lead in the 10th minute with a superb individual goal, dribbling the ball skillfilly on her left into the D and striking.
Ashby scored in the 48th minute. Rose scored a minute later, a great team goal, which began with Daisy crossing the ball from the left, with a shot from Wendy which Rose converted on the rebound.
Just before half time saw another strike from the top of the D from Suzy, vollied by Rachel to Charlie, narrowly missing the goal.

In the second half Ashby came out more determined. Belper at times lost their shape and concentration in marking. Ashby scored 4 minutes into the second half, and again 14 minutes later.
Izzy throughout the game made some fantastic saves, 2 with her stick, and did a great tumble turn on the floor!
