An unusually warm October morning saw Belper Ladies 4’s off to a slow start with Matlock scoring an open play goal in the first 3 minutes.
Thoughts of a whitewash may well have crossed some peoples minds, but Belper settled quickly and set about trying to get one back. With the help of amazing Laura Harris organising the midfield, Belper made quick work of getting a penalty corner 10 minutes later. A tactical slip to the left saw Charlie deliver a wonderful reverse stick flick to send the ball high over the keeper and into the net, making it 1-1.

From here on in, the game was well-fought from both sides with chances at either end, all stopped by some excellent defending from Julie, Helen, Emma and Tallulah along with some brilliant saves from Izzy.

Despite some lovely attacking runs from Evie, in her debut game for the club, Belper could not get ahead.

Following a couple of last minute penalty corners at both ends, the final whistle blew at 1-1 draw.
