Belper U14 boys hosted Repton at Belper Meadows for thier first league match of the season.

The Belper boys showed great character by keeping cool heads following an unexpected starting 5 minutes with no keeper. Winning most of the mid field battle, a fine drive down the centre of the pitch saw a clinical finish put them ahead towards the middle of the half, before adding a second in similar fashion. Rookie keeper James, who volunteered to kit up at the last minute made a good clearance and then an outstanding chest save to a well struck shot. Repton earned a PC which snuck over the line to end the first half with the score 2-1 to Belper.

The second half saw Belper, neutralise any threat from Repton, winning the midfield scrap and retaining solid defence. In the second half George added two more to his first half pair and Oscar claimed a fifth while Repton added a well struck PC to leave Belper deserved winners at 5-2.
