Ladies 4th team played their rearranged match against Ashbourne Ladies 3 on Sunday 29th October.

Ashbourne were generous in letting us use their pitch for our “home game”.
With the weekend being a slip date and half term we were struggling to get a team together and working through the EH rules was challenging!

We recruited Caoimhe and Isabel from the development squad, Hannah from the 5’s and were given permission to have Lou from the thirds.

It was a beautiful sunny morning in Ashbourne, Daisy scored a cracking goal within the first 10 minutes. Belper managed to put the pressure on but we’re unable to convert goals from short corners and attacking play.
1-0 to Belper at half time.

2nd half, Ashbourne had several breaks , but were cut out by the experienced defending from the back and excellent saves from the powerhouse Izzy.

Lou held the middle, whilst  Charlie, Rachel and Daisy were giving their all , determined to get a goal, but unfortunately denied. Great  support and runs from Evie, Caoimhe and Isabel also.

5 minutes from the end, saw the defenders in the trenches, in the D, Suzy on the floor at one point, Helen, Jules and Hannah, battling away,  a ball came flying, Jules managing to get her stick to it, unfortunately Ashbourne equalised.

Final score 1-1
