It was a beautiful sunny day at The meadows for the ladies 4’s against Barton

Barton had been undefeated in the league so far, so it was game on!
Barton had the PB and game out strong from the start, catching Belper by surprise and scored within the first minute.

Barton were obviously used to dominating and being physical, their player 55 was green carded for pushing and taking old duffer Suzy out.

Belper started putting on the pressure, great work from Lizzie and Jolene in the middle, with Sally creating chances.

A great shot into the D saw Rose get a deflection on the post- we were off!

Belper continued to pile on the pressure, Barton started to lose their nerve and form, player 55 received another green card.

1-1 at half time.

Second half saw Daisy take a great shot on goal, with Rachel tapping it in.

Great runs and battling from Evie on the wing, Belper had a couple of SC’s with Sally scoring on the 2nd.

Barton got a break, driving along the base line, lifting the ball, skimming past 2 defenders and Gk, and scoring.

Sally scored from another SC.

With 3 minutes to go Barton had 3 SC’s, but were denied.

Final score 4-2 to Belper. A great game and team effort.
