The Belper Bloopers was awarded very early in the day to Helen for arriving late and without her astros
We started the first half promisingly with Rachel converting a text book short corner 9 minutes into the game. Half time Belper remained 1-0 ahead
The second half Belper failed to gel and Charnwood up’d their game, it became a real battle, the defence dug in and Izzy played out of her skin in goal, denying Charnwood their first goal again and again. Even Wendy was seen defending in the circle!!
Eventually the inevitable happened and Charnwood scored, followed shortly by another.
The whistle couldn’t really come soon enough and Henry kindly obliged, whilst Charnwood set up for a final short corner which they failed to convert
