The ladies 4s trip to Ashbourne on a grey but dry morning began with the pleasant sound of Harris arriving to offer encouragment from the sidelines and Kath losing the shackles from the Belper clubhouse to umpire!
A great attacking first half performance saw fantastic running and passing and Evie opened the scoring from a short corner. Rachel nicked a deflection on Evie’s shot to make it 2. Another goal from Evie, 2 from Erin and one from Kitty made it a convincing 6-0 lead at half time.
The second half saw more attacking endevour but Ashbourne put in a better defensive performance restricting Belper to a firm strike from Daisy and Erin scoring her third.
The last 10 minutes saw the unusual site of Julie attacking down the left and into the opposition 25, maybe today is a day for miracles and you should buy that lottery ticket!
8-0 win for Belper and congratulations to our star player Evie and todays Blooper Daisy.
