U10 Girls placed 3rd in Midlands Championships

The U10 girls team. Derbyshire Clubs Champions, and finished 3rd behind Beeston and Worcester in yesterdays Midlands Clubs Championships. They played 6 group matches, and only lost 1, they finished 2nd in the group, and went on to play Worcester in the semi’s. Despite battling hard they lost 2-0. They played their final match against Rugby and finished joint 3rd after an exciting penalty shoot out. Well done Girls!!  

Congratulations to Belper Players

Congratulations to Belper U16 Charlie Collins who has been selected for the Welsh U18 team and has been in Switzerland with them over Easter. We would like to say a huge congratulations to 2 of our Ladies first team players, Lynn (representing England) and Monica (Wales) who are at the Masters Hockey World Cup 2016 in Canberra. England beat Wales 4-0 with Lynn scoring although thankfully not against Mon (no chance of that eh?).

EH Coaching Courses in 2016-17 season

  England Hockey recently made changes to the coach development structure and have launched a revised coach development pathway which provides more accessibility and flexibility for a coach to access relevant support and knowledge specific to their role. A Tribute to Joanne Rogers

Belper Ladies Hockey Club is sad to announce that Joanne Rogers passed away at home on the 5th February 2016 following a courageous 18 month battle against Pancreatic Cancer.  Jo had strong links with Belper Hockey Club, both as a supporter of her daughters, Rhiannon and Victoria and a long term volunteer. FIH announces changes to the Rules of Hockey

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has announced changes to the Rules of Hockey, specifically rule 13.2 which relates to the taking of an attacking free hit within 5 metres of the attacking circle.
